Leading a seminar discussion for church leaders

Leading a seminar discussion for church leaders

I  first came to The Divinity School at Duke University as an assistant visiting professor in 2001 and joined Duke’s faculty in 2003, where I currently serve as Associate Professor of Theology & World Christianity.  I have designed and taught on various social challenges in Africa.  These include: “Faces of Jesus in Africa,” “Rwandan Genocide and the Challenge of Christian Social Imagination,” “Nation-State Theology in Africa,” “Post-colonial Identities and Christian Theology in Africa,” “The Catholic Church in a Global Context,” “Journeys of Reconciliation,” and “Africa, AIDS & Hope.”

Prior to coming to Duke, I taught at the National Seminary Katigondo in Uganda, Uganda Martyr’s University (Nkozi, Uganda), and at St. Augustine’s College (Johannesburg, South Africa), where I served on the International Academic Advisory Council.   I served as a research fellow at Molloy College in the spring of 1999.  In 2009, I was named the first Senior Research Fellow of the newly-established Center for World Catholicism and Intercultural Theology (CWCIT) at DePaul University.
