Bethany House

The vision for Bethany House draws upon each facet of my life as a professor, priest, and journeyer in reconciliation.  In each of these vocations, I have invited my audience to ‘come and see’ Africa with new eyes, knowing that those who do will never be the same again.

As Jesus ascends to heaven at Bethany and leaves his disciples with the command to ‘go out to the whole world’ and bear witness to the Kingdom, so Bethany House is envisioned as a place of ‘mission’ – a place of sending out those who have been touched by the spirit and vision of God’s reconciliation to go out and bear witness to the same.

Part guest house for travelers, and part conference and retreat center for Christian leaders and practitioners, Bethany House in Entebbe Uganda is a place fully dedicated to sustaining pilgrimage as a vital practice of outreach and transformation. Those who have heard the call to ‘come and see’ Africa will I hope find Bethany House to be a space of intersection where Catholic and Protestant, black and white, north and south, West and East, meet to hear and learn the exciting story of God as they receive the invitation to be part of God’s new creation.
